Davide Ranon, DVM

Graduated cum laude in 1998 from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna in Medicine.

Through the European Leonardo Project, he completed a one-and-a-half-year internship in equine clinic at the San Vicente del Raspeig Hospital in Alicante, Spain.

He worked for several years at the Sierra de Madrid Veterinary Hospital. In 2004, he moved to southern England to join Shotter and Byers Equine Veterinary Services in Surrey, where he spent five years focusing on orthopedics and sports medicine, particularly with high-handicap polo horses.

In 2010, he returned to Spain, settling on the Costa del Sol, where he actively collaborated with Vetequin, becoming a partner in 2019.

Over these years, he has worked in various international equestrian circuits such as the Sunshine Tour, and has served as Clinical Director at both the Costa del Sol Equestrian Tour and SHOT.

His main area of interest is sports medicine, especially with polo and show jumping horses.
