MIGUEL RAMOS

DVM, MSc, FEI Treating Veterinarian

Dr. Miguel Ramos has been connected to the world of horses, especially dressage, throughout his entire life. Graduated in 2020 from Córdoba Veterinary University. During his studies, Miguel completed an enriching Erasmus year at Toulouse Veterinary University (France), as well as several externships with Vetequin and various equine referral hospitals across Europe.

Miguel moved to Belgium to complete an internship at the University of Liège, where he broadened his knowledge in all areas of equine veterinary medicine. He then joined the diagnostic imaging department at Equitom Equine Hospital, where he acquired extensive experience in diagnostic imaging techniques such as MRI, CT, and nuclear scintigraphy.

In 2022, he joined the Baker McVeigh International Group, which gave him the opportunity to work with elite racehorses and sport horses in South Africa, France, and the UK, enriching his experience in veterinary care of high-level horses.
In 2024, Miguel joined the Vetequin team, apporting his international experience that allowed him to gain a global perspective and extensive knowledge in treating horses from various disciplines and levels. His main interest are orthopaedics, sports medicine and diagnostic imaging. He is currently undertaking the ISELP for-mation.

Outside of his professional life, Miguel enjoys playing sports, horse riding, and travel. He enjoys spending time with friends and family.

El Dr. Miguel Ramos desde su infancia ha estado vinculado al mundo del caballo, especialmente de la doma clásica. Graduado en 2020 por la Universidad de Veterinaria de Córdoba, realizó un enriquecedor año Erasmus en la Universidad de Veterinaria de Toulouse (Francia) y varias prácticas externas con Vetequin y diferentes hospitales de referencia en Europa.
Posteriormente, se trasladó a Bélgica para completar un internado en la Universidad de Lieja, donde amplió sus conocimientos en todas las áreas de la medicina veterinaria equina.
